Prof Natalie Hannan

Professor Natalie Hannan is an Australian Research Council Future Fellow, University of Melbourne. Laboratory Head, of the Therapeutics Discovery and Vascular Function in Pregnancy Group. She is a recognised leader in placental development, uterine and vascular function in pregnancy. Her research focuses on developing and delivering safe therapies for the treatment of major complications of pregnancy. She has published >148 peer-reviewed manuscripts, attracted >$11 Million in funding, and received several prominent awards.

As the Associate Dean, Diversity and Inclusion, Faculty Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences she provides leadership and strategic oversight regarding the Faculty's progression towards enhanced diversity and inclusion, and implementation of key action plans aligned to Faculty/University strategies.

Natalie is President of the Australia and New Zealand Placental Research Association, and serves on the Executive Councils for Society of Obstetric Medicine Australia and New Zealand, the International Federation of Placental Associations and Graeme Clark Institute. She is a board Director of VESKI and Associate Editor for the journal Reproduction.
